Summary of issues discussed:

This was the Group’s annual general meeting; Jocelyn Davies AM was re-elected as Chair, nominated by Julie Morgan AM.

The Group heard a presentation from Professor Emma Renold of Cardiff University, regarding the role of PSE in promoting gender equality and healthy relationships.

A short debate followed on the need for specialist, proportionate gender informed approaches to working with victims of domestic and sexual violence. The debate was lead by Simon Borja (Dyn Project Co-ordinator for Safer Wales). The Group agreed that violence against women can’t be dealt with in the same way as violence against men and there are complex differences between the two.
